Hello! I previously worked as a playgroup and an English teacher at recognized learning centers in Hong Kong and I am currently freelancing. I absolutely miss working with children and I happen to have time in the morning to help with your kid/s' phonics, reading and writing! As an experienced teacher, I've learned to be engaging and patient, as well as to find the child's weakness and focus my teaching on that. Aside from that, I will communicate with your child in a clear and concise manner to help him familiarize with the English language and further gain confidence in his English speaking skills :) I am available to teach online in the mornings! Hi, I'm Carmen and I'm from the UK. After I graduated, I completed a TEFL course and became an English teacher in Hong Kong. I've been teaching for the past 5 years, in classrooms and in an online setting. I have experience teaching children from the age of 2 to 13. I love to create a fun environment where children feel comfortable enough to freely explore the language. My favorite style of teaching [English] is to create a fun, relaxed learning environment where I incorporate games or activities to increase confidence in the classroom and keep students motivated to learn! I am fully aware that each student learns at a different pace, so I create my curriculum in a way that everyone is on the same page. Children will forever hold a special place in my heart. I truly feel as though they have a quality about them that enables us, adults, to get in touch with our inner youth and innocence, qualities we tend to grow out of as we get older. They aide us in putting the little things back into perspective when, at times, we take them for granted!
