My professional career started with teaching groups of school children when I was still a student at university. Later on I had a long way of professional development. I became a university teacher, preparing my students to become teachers and interpreters of English. Later I also started teaching adult students, who need English for their carrier development. I am located in Leidschendam, which is nearby the Hague and Rotterdam areas. I also enjoy giving Skype lessons, that give a great opportunity to cut time and distance.

I am 26 years old. I've been to 17 countries, studied in Europe, had internships in the USA, Greece and Turkey. Currently in Thailand, worked in kindergarten as well as elementary school. More than 4 years of teaching experience both online and in the classroom.

Graduated with a bachelors degree in English Literature as well as being an avid reader and writer, I am passionate about the language and the dynamics of communication. My approach to learning is motivational and aim to enhance critical and independent thought, analysis and structural elements of reading and writing. I am based in Ottery, Cape Town and quite capable of providing guidance and instruction to all up to level 1 of university/college.

Hi, I’m Emily! A little bit about me: I am a native English and Cantonese speaker — I was born and raised in California. My family is from Hong Kong, so I was raised speaking Cantonese at home. I can also converse in Spanish and Mandarin. I have worked with students from ages 5-21 on oral and written English. I'm ready to help you with whatever you need, whether it's pronunciation, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, or conversing. My goal is to help you or your child(ren) learn, polish, and perfect the English language in a positive and encouraging environment.
