I am an American educator who has worked as an ESL teacher - and in more recent years as an accent modification coach - with students from all over the world for more than two decades, of all levels and age groups. I love getting to know people from different places in the world and helping them to achieve greater personal and professional success by learning to sound more like a native speaker of American English. I especially love to see the look of surprise on my students' faces when they finally realize why they are having communication failures and understand that there really is something they can do about it. I graduated from Oxford with a top First in my year in History and Modern Languages. I taught literature, language, and translation for several years while completing a Doctorate. Afterwards, I worked full-time at Oxford as a Lecturer and organized admissions for Modern Languages for 6 years. I also worked for a well-known Hong Kong tutoring center in 2015, and have taught English and History to many students in Hong Kong and the UK (IB, IGCSE, GCE A-level, and AP).

My students' age group range from 5 to pre-university level. I specialize in teaching courses catered for Cambridge International Examination (IGCSE - English as a First and Second Language) and Cambridge Assessment English (Cambridge Young Learners, KET, PET, FCe and CAE). There is intensive guidance on reading and writing skills throughout the lessons. My online classes are available to students from diverse parts of Malaysia as well as other countries. English is best learned with a small group of learners (3-8 students per class). New students are carefully assessed, prescribed a course text and placed in class with students of similar levels of English proficiency. My lessons also include free training on computer literacy skills for young learners and teenagers. Parents are given guidance on how to supervise their children in the online learning process. There is a set of regulations in place to ensure a conducive learning environment. Regular assessments are conducted and parents will be given full access to their children's online files.
