Greetings. I have been teaching English full-time for 30+ years, the last 13 in Hong Kong as a NET under the Hong Kong Government NET Scheme. I was born in New Zealand (British accent) and am now Australian. I have regular Hong Kong students from local as well as international schools and am fully conversant with the Hong Kong curriculum as well as that taught in the Hong Kong international schools. I can provide excellent references from my current and past Hong Kong students (two of whom have been studying with me for four years). Several of my past students are now attending UK and Australian universities. I get results! I offer a free 'getting to know you' lesson as it is important that there is a good match between tutor and student. I specialize in literature, grammar, IELTS preparation, and conversation exam preparation. I also tutor history and hold an Honours degree in English and History. I was Head of English for many years at my Australian school before relocating to Hong Kong. Hello, my name is Jodie! I am 24 years old and I am hardworking and enthusiastic about teaching, having 3 years of experience teaching in Thailand. For the past 2 years, I have been teaching Phonics and Art at a Satit International Program in Bangkok and have previous experience teaching Kindergarten in Chachoengsao. I have a CertTESOL qualification and graduated with a degree in English Literature, achieving a 2.1 from Cardiff University. In September of this year, I will be moving to London to study a masters degree Primary PGCE at University College London, which has been ranked first for education in the QS World University Rankings (2026).
