Teaching is not only my profession but also a passion. I have been a teacher for the past three years and have experience in Cambridge Primary as well as IB Primary. I am open to teaching spoken English to both children and adults. I hope to bring positive changes to every student’s life that I teach. In the first free lesson, I will observe the student's language skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) and recommend areas for improvement, as well as determine which areas to prioritize. I provide personalized and tailored lessons based on each child's individual needs. My classes are mostly activity-based and designed to be enjoyable and engaging. I will provide feedback on each child's performance every 15 days to the parents and suggest any necessary adjustments that may be required.

In the 10 years I've been Tutoring English I've been able to use my educational background in English Literature and Psychology for the enrichment of my students in central New Jersey and metro Philadelphia. I consider it an on-going goal to help my students achieve the ability to communicate in a clear concise way. After all, the way you write is the way you think. I agree with Issac Asimov who once implied that the best writers are always reading. Listening, reading, the use of vocabulary and sentence structure and, most of all, imagination are part of the wondrous chain of Learning. I want to encourage your voice. The ability to find your special "take" on a subject and then have the confidence to put it on display. Like so many things in life, confidence can help one experience their world to the fullest. My students have taken subjects that range from Revenge: Pre and Post-Hamlet to Into the Wild and come up with mature and insightful essays. Frankly, they have confirmed to me that you really ARE never too old to see things a fresh perspective. Let's get going!

Hi! My name is Daniela. I live in Toronto, Ontario and I'm passionate about the English language and plethora of literature it has produced! I have expertise in literary history, dissecting those tricky Shakespeare plays and writing concise and powerful essays. I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2017 with an honours Bachelor of Arts specializing in English Literature, and will soon be starting a Master's degree to further enhance my skills as not only an academic, but a passionate fanatic of fiction, poetry and prose. I grew up in Hong Kong, received my IB Diploma in 2014 and my bachelors in psychology in 2018. Therefore it's important that we look after each other! I was introduced to the English language, in all its entirety and vastness, not through school but Spongebob Squarepants at the young age of 6. I quickly realized that my fascination with the language overshadowed my fascination with the cartoon series (which being the MASSIVE Spongebob fan I was, was surprising to say the least). I've been passionate about the language since and have been helping others witness and appreciate the role, prospects and virtues of a language as universal as English. Some practical information: I've been living in Amsterdam for the last 4 years and am currently a second year Media & Information student at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
