I was an ex-executive at AIS, having organized the AIS-Singtel English Camp for five years to help Thai children learn how to speak and write English. My students range from 10 to 20 years old and come from various parts of Thailand. I'm a passionate teacher. The main subject I teach is English. I grew up in Thailand, Australia and the UK, this gives me an advantage in communications as I'm well versed in both Thai and English as well as a cultural insight in different types of English. My ability to also speak Thai will exelerate in the teaching process of the student, of course the main language used will be English for familiarity purposes. How do I teach? I believe it's important to get to know students, understand how they learn and in turn allow them to absorb knowledge in a way that works for them. Making the learning process something educational and enjoyable at the same time by incorporating creative exercises and tests that relate to the subject at hand. I take a very open approach to learning, being a very creative and enthusiastic learner myself, I can empathise with the boredom of repetitive routine work which is why I'd like the chance to be able teach students how to enjoy learning instead of being something they are forced to do. I strongly believe you first have to put someone in an environment and mindset suitable for learning before you try to feed knowledge. I like to talk to the students to get an idea of where they stand or how they think, this way I can approach them as a teacher in a way specific to them, this will create comfortability which translates into clear thinking and an optimal work rate.

I love languages in general. I mainly teach English and Xhosa from grade 4 to grade 9. I enjoying the experience of making learning fun and not a chore.

Intensive English learning is a way for a child to maximize their potentials and abilities to explore the English language. Hello, My name is Rachael and I've been in Hong Kong for four years. Originally from the UK, I earned my BA hons in English at Queen Mary University of London and a PGCE and Masters in Education at The University of Nottingham. Currently, I teach at a top HK international school and am an examiner for AQA, CIE and IB. I offer tuition in English Language and Literature (iGCSE, AWA, CIE, Edexel, WJEC, IB, A-Level), UK entrance exams for 11+ and 13+ and general examination skills. I also offer IB Film tuition.

I am a fourth-year student at an Education University, majoring in Primary School English Education. I grew up in Singapore and served in the emergency ambulance service for several years before changing career paths to teaching. I am a well-read, multicultural individual. My longest-running students are two Mainland boys currently in Grades 5 and 8 who are attending the Singapore International School (SISHK). I have also taught a local boy in Grade 10 at Nord Anglia, who is about to take his IGCSE. I have been teaching both of them for close to 3 years.
