I am a qualified secondary school English teacher and English as a Foreign Language tutor, with eight years’ experience of successfully tutoring students studying at a wide range of levels including KS2/3, GCSE, A Level and University level. I have a strong working knowledge of GCSE and A Level exam boards, alongside the marking criteria and assessment frameworks for IELTS and Cambridge English First exams. I am a qualified dyslexia tutor and a professional member of the British Dyslexia Association. I am therefore able to utilise a range of non-traditional learning strategies and techniques which encourage creative approaches to learning, are tailored towards the individual strengths and talents of the learner and crucially, develop their levels of confidence and self-belief. I have a real passion for teaching all aspects of English and take pride in developing my students’ confidence in their academic abilities and truly enjoy the rewards of enabling them to succeed in their exams.
