I am a 25-year-old Australian law student who has come to live in Berlin for a year. I would like to help anyone who wants to learn English (at any level) achieve their goals. I have been learning languages (French and German) since I was 12, so I know what it is like to learn a new language and the effort that is required. I have also learned in this time that everyone learns differently, and so I will take a flexible approach to tutor English so that you, the student, can get the most out of your time. As a law student, I have a lot of exposure to "proper" English, as I have to read around 300 pages of very high-level English every week and analyze the meaning behind the text. I am also expected to write all of my essays in this style. I am happy to teach English that is more directed towards study or work, but I am just as happy to teach everyday conversational English as well so that you can sound more like a native speaker (I can even throw in some Aussie slang if you'd like!). Hello! I'm from the United States and have been travelling and living in Southeast Asia for over three years! I have been teaching for 5+ years with students of different ages and abilities. I'm looking forward to using my teaching experience to help further you or your child's educational goals, specifically in learning English. I am TEFL certified and a native English speaker. I love incorporating the students' interests into their lessons to help keep them engaged. The lessons will be structured using a three-part method. First, the students will be presented with the learning targets of the lesson. Then, they will practice those targets, usually with a worksheet or an activity. Finally, they will produce the targets of the lesson through speech.
