My name is Olivia, and I am currently a PhD student at UC Davis, studing environmental engineering. My work focuses on biological treatment of trace organic contaminants (e.g. pesticides) in water. I have two years of experience as a teaching assistant for undergraduates, and am knowledgable in many interconnected areas such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, engineering and ecology. I am passionate about making learning spaces comfortable and accessible for students of all backgrounds. Additionally, I pay close attention to my students' learning styles, and listen to their opinions on how they best take in and learn information.
