Questions for You

Q: What age range of students do you usually work with?

I usually teach adults, as from 18 years old.

Q: How do you approach lesson planning and preparation?

This is somethig that needs to be done with the student. I need to know what is their goal, how they like to work and how they see me in that plan: how much am I involved? What exactly do they (think) they need from me? We talk about this and I prepare the conent and lesson accordingly. This can of course change with the course of the lessons.

Q: How do you measure progress and assess learning outcomes for your students?

Something to have clear is that, if they do not work individually betwen the lessons, neither they neither I am going to see a progress. If they start from 0, they will need some time to see the real progress, but there will get a point where they will be able to make sentences and start communicating.

Q: Do you provide regular homework and assignments, and how do you review and provide feedback on student work?

I always ask how they want to work. Some people want to look for their own homework/work between lessons; and other people want me to do that. I am happy with both!

Q: What technology or resources do you use to enhance your lessons, particularly for online sessions?

I will be sharing my screen, play games when possible (wheels, online cards, presentations...).

Q: Do you provide any additional support outside of scheduled lesson times, such as answering questions via email or phone?

Of course! I do not promise that I will ansewr immediately, but I will for sure answer.

Q: Do you have any specific strategies for motivating students who may be struggling or disengaged with the subject material?

When I see they are off I talk to them. There is no point on using our times if the outcome is not going to be the desired one. If they need a break with the lessons, if they are going through something, or they would prefer me to approach the lessons in a different way, I am open to hear about it and will not be mad if asked.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning differences or special needs?

No.
