My name is Teresa Klein, and I have a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri. My PhD mentor, Dr. George Smith, is a Nobel Laureate. I have been tutoring both the SAT and ACT for over five years. I typically help students raise their SAT scores by 100–200 points and their ACT scores by 4–6 points through targeted skill-building and data-driven instruction. In addition, I tutor math and science, including prealgebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, biology, and chemistry. I have enjoyed tutoring and coaching students in middle school, high school, and college-level math and science courses. Hi, my name is Charlene, My aunt was a Math teacher and growing up it was a difficult subject for me. She always taught me that anything was possible once I put my mind to it. With time and lots of practice, I started loving Mathematics. When I graduated from high school I began assisting my aunt teaching others Math and English. I continued to tutor my college students during my college years and taught my own niece and nephew to love mathematics. My strategy is simple, the more you practice the faster you become. My aunt always taught me that mathematics is full of steps. If you are not strong at algebra chances are you are weak in addition and subtraction. Once you strengthen that area, the student takes off like a bullet. Math can be fun once you learn the steps. Her love of teaching certainly has continued to my generation and beyond. I work in the lower Manhattan location and live in Brooklyn in the Mill Basin area.
