I am an essay and education consultant based in Bangkok, Thailand. My service includes University essay/personal statement consultation, admission counseling, and creative writing classes. My niche is aimed towards Thai and Asian students looking to apply to universities in America or the UK for both undergraduate and graduate level. I have a proven track record and testimonials from my past students who had been admitted to universities like Carnegie Mellon University, Berklee College of Music, Northwestern, NYU, Michigan, CUMedi program, and many others. I am also a published writer and poet. My works have appeared or are forthcoming in The Chicago Review and Chicago Quarterly Review, among others.

I have tutored and helped many students in the New York area with writing in most grade levels as well as college students. I realize that sometimes it can be difficult to express something in writing or students may have small grammar errors that could be easily fixed. My students have always turned out to become great writers.

My name is Mara Vranjkovic and I am a recent graduate from the University of Alberta where I received my bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing. I believe that writing has the ability to teach us to think critically and develop our inner lives so that we have a stronger sense of self. It allows us to be witness to our own patterns of thought, and allows us to grow as we strive to question and evolve those patterns. Writing is a powerful tool that can be used to persuade, command, and convince, but it also has the ability to critique and question. The ability to write is a tool for the self, first and foremost, and is a doorway that allows us to access our own mind and be its own master. My goal with tutoring in writing is to help the student break down the mental blocks that may prevent them from having the courage to just start writing, to help those learn effective tricks for developing plans for essays or other types of writing, and to help students write with passion. I have many books on writing at my disposal which I will be using during my tutoring sessions, and I have attended seminars on writing and planning over my years at the University which I will also draw from. I am also understanding when it comes to an individual's methods of learning, and can adapt a lesson depending on their needs. I have experience with developing organizational startegies to help with time management when it comes to writing with deadlines as this is something I used to struggle with. I am located in Sturgeon County, but I can easily access all parts of St. Albert. If the student would be more comfortable with being tutored at the local library or even a coffee shop, that option is available.

Writing is one of the most important tools to succeed in the modern world. I will make sure that my students complete my course understanding the important concepts of basic writing and grammar.
