With over three decades of dedicated teaching experience, I have honed my skills and passion for education in fine art. For ten of those years, I proudly served as the principal of a South African school, where I had the opportunity to shape educational policies and inspire both students and staff alike. My journey led me to Thailand, where I have resided for more than four years. This cultural transition has enriched my perspective on education, allowing me to appreciate the diversity and unique challenges that come with teaching in a new environment. I teach English, science, social studies, and STEM.

I have been teaching English for about 8 years. I normally charge $200-$500 per hour, depending on the needs of the student. Currently, I am a local NET in a primary school and a contracted DSE prep teacher in a secondary school on Saturday mornings. I'm originally from England but have spent most of my adult life in Hong Kong where I have an impressive string of successes in writing competitions, winning me over $40,000HKD and resulting in my stories being made into radio productions. I have a thorough background in academic writing, co-authoring books on Chinese philosophy, history and physiology. As a private tutor I have overseen the development of several children and professionals throughout crucial junctions in their lives; Sometimes preparing interviews in some of the top schools in the world. I have taken pride in developing my own worksheets and lessons, which I feel are both more effective and more interesting than many commercially available English textbooks. I also encourage my students to write 'novels', which we will have produced into paperback form.
