I am an UK native, living in Marseille in France and working as an English teacher. I am hoping to expand my scope for teaching more students by offering some online classes and conversation. I moved with my partner (another English teacher) to France in September and to Marseille in February, and since that time I have been working as an English teacher with children including for companies like Mary Poppins and Speaking Agency. I have worked with several French families and I've been given great feedback about my method, dedication and ability to bond with all the children. The children I have been working with vary in age from 3-10 years and I have gained a lot of experience with them. I volunteer with Médecin du Monde, translating where necessary (as many refugees speak only English). Learning to speak a French as a second language has really helped me to understand the best ways to learn and has improved my teaching, because until you go through the process of learning a second language yourself (especially in later life) it is difficult to know exactly the best strategies for the most impactful syllabus.
