I am Aniltha, and I am currently studying Arts - Business English at Assumption University of Thailand (ABAC). I will be officially graduating in May 2022. I have past experiences in teaching, and teaching is my passion. The reason why I love teaching is because I want to foster quality education for children. I am passionate, creative, hardworking, and have the ability to work hard and strive for excellence in any task. Additionally, I am looking for a teaching position that can provide me with new experiences. Although I am not a native speaker, my English proficiency is comparable to that of a native English speaker.

My Master of Arts degree is in Education. I also hold a TESOL Certificate for ESL instruction. I have many years of expertise in ESL education, IELTS, and TOEFL Test Preparation, AP and IGCSE Music/Test Preparation, Music Production Masterclasses, and curriculum development. Furthermore, I have been a certified IELTS examiner with the British Council for the past 12 years. I have been a teacher for over 8 years in Thailand, and I have experience teaching Thai students from kindergarten to high school and adults too. I have vast experience and knowledge of IELTS and TOEFL test. I help students navigate through the exam. For example, in Ielts I approach listening with sections. I help my students to practice section 1,2,3,4 independently culminating in good understanding hence the best band score the student can attain. In writing, I focus on IELTS vocabulary, linking structures, the nitty-gritty of making a beginner writer to write a decent Task 1 and Task 2 without forgetting structure and techniques to able to get 150words and 250words under 1hour.

My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. My philosophy is based on the idea that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves.
