My name is Rachael, and I am a medical doctor practicing in Hong Kong. I received my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2023. I also graduated with a First Class Honours in Biomedical Sciences (BSc) from University College London (UCL) and hold a Masters (MSc) in Immunology from Imperial College London. My passion for science is reflected by my attendance at international scientific conferences, presentations at scientific journal clubs, and co-authoring a novel scientific research paper published under Cell Press (DOI: 10.1016/j.immuni.2020.12.013). I also harbour a deep passion for English. I studied English Literature up to IB Higher Level, attaining a Level 7 (A*), and spend my spare time reading a wide range of genres, as well as writing my own poetry and prose. I love passing down knowledge to others and witnessing their growth. While studying in secondary school, I spent some summer breaks teaching at local schools (both primary and secondary) and tutoring my parents' friends' children. My experience working as a paediatrician has instilled in me crucial skills in working with children and their parents. For older students, I have helped secondary school and university students edit essays, personal statements, cover letters, and dissertations.

My undergraduate degree was a Bachelor's in Journalism and Communication, which allowed me to explore all aspects of written communication as it demanded a high level of writing proficiency, including clarity, conciseness, accuracy, and grammar. I have a strong background in teaching and tutoring. I worked as a teaching assistant in a private boarding school in Australia, supporting children with a variety of subjects and preparing them for their exams. After completing my Bachelor's, I obtained a Postgraduate PGCE in Primary Education at the University of Sussex in England. I then worked as a full-time class teacher for three years in the UK. In September 2024, I completed my TESOL qualification, and since then, I have been working as an English Programme (EP) teacher at a Thai private school in Bangkok. Alongside my EP work, I also provide private tutoring to the children within my school. No matter what your education needs and goals are, I am dedicated to providing you with the relevant support. Maths from the University of Waterloo. He attended St. Paul, Kiangsu & Chekiang elementary school in Singapore International School, Wasei, and was a junior high school student. I am a student in Beijing/Tianjin (Classes 3 to 6), and I am a member of the Noh Ryuri Putonghua Assistance Division (requested by the Hong Kong Putonghua Association, Putonghua, Sanpokai). I am a patient with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and have been receiving multi-year teaching assistance. I have experienced various challenges in my studies, including difficulties with attention, anxiety, restlessness, and varying learning methods. I also used additional self-study materials to supplement my learning and increase my chances of success in receiving a scholarship. I am experienced in tutoring English, mathematics, and university-level business courses. I have assisted both local and Mandarin-speaking students in their essay homework for English, science, and humanities subjects. Aside from tutoring, I also help students prepare application essays for challenging EMBA application questions and assignment essays for university business and business-related IT subjects, such as the MIT program on "Artificial Intelligence (AI): Implications for Business Strategy" and the fintech program from the University of Oxford.
