Hi! I'm Kelly, and I teach a variety of English courses for CUNY institutions. I tutor reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary.

Living along the Texas-Mexico border most of the time since I first received my teaching degree, I have been teaching English the entirety of my career, both domestically, in Texas and New Mexico, and later in South Korea and the Middle East. My special attributes in teaching are the acquisition of a broader English vocabulary, the better understanding English language tenses, understand the usage of English digraphs and diphthongs, and, very importantly, the use of proper English accent. I love teaching my native language to others, and I find it particularly rewarding when one of my English language students is accepted for study at a university in an English-speaking country and when they are able to find an excellent job because of their attainment of the English language, which is globally the official language of the Internet and business.

Hello! I am a native English teacher born and raised in New York, so I speak with an accent from the United States. I first started teaching while I was abroad, and I have experience teaching non-native English speakers in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Vietnam, Canada, and the USA. Now living in Hong Kong Island since 2019, I can also speak Cantonese and I hold 2 English teaching diplomas (CertTESOL and TEFL). Hello, my name is Glaiza. My teaching experience covers a wide array of subjects, levels and venues. I have taught both children and adults. I have had the pleasure to travel and lived abroad, specifically in some European countries. This has given me an understanding of the challenges of traveling and living in a country where the language spoken is not your own. It has also provided me with first-hand knowledge of the language skills needed to live, work, or travel abroad. I am a half French and Vietnamese university student. I have done the IB since 9 years old and graduated with the IB Diploma. Thus, I have a lot of experience dealing IB style assignments. Additionally I have very good writing skills, mostly essay writing. I am available to help with home assignments, beginners in English wanting to improve their writing.
