Hello! I share my passion for modern foreign languages through tutoring. I speak fluent French, English, Cantonese, Mandarin and intermediate Russian. I have always had a huge interest in the arts, around which my work experiences and education revolved. I grew up in Hong Kong and studied in the UK, France, Switzerland, and the United States for my higher education and I started tutoring after my master's degree. I love helping my students progress and achieve their learning objectives– aiding their academic, intellectual and personal growths are highlights of my tutoring experience, not to mention my own growth as a tutor thanks to them. Experience CELTA-certified with over six years of teaching experience, my first tutoring experience actually started at age fourteen, when I volunteered at a daycare centre and a school for disabled children. Since 2019, I have been working as a freelance tutor and have tutored over 200 students. I specialise in teaching modern foreign languages and in helping students with GCSE, A Levels, Cambridge Pre-U and IB exam preparations. My clients are based in the UK and in Asia; ranging from as young as four* to adult learners. In 2019, I worked at a private tutorial centre in Hong Kong for current and prospective UK pupils. I also conducted Cantonese GCSE speaking exams in 2023 and 2024. Education I have a background in the arts and humanities. In 2017, I graduated from King's College London with a BA in French and Management with Distinction in Oral French. During my year abroad, I completed a six-month study exchange at ESSEC Paris, studying French and business, and another six months at Université de Genève, reading French literature and philosophy. Languages aside, I recently completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Art at SOAS in 2023. In 2018, I completed an MA in Art Business at Sotheby's Institute of Art, where I also studied Contemporary Art in New York for a semester exchange. Interests Currently learning Beginner German, I aim finish this level this year and start Arabic next year. When not tutoring nor involved with the art world, I invest my time in various self-development modalities, with over 600 hours of combined training practices from yoga teaching and mindset coaching. I also like to take the time to enjoy music, cinema and literature.

Hi everyone, I have been teaching English vocabulary and pronunciation and providing IELTS practice and advice for 11 years. Check out my website (link icon below) for the full details. I teach students whose first language is not English. My aim is to ensure all my students can grow their understanding of English vocabulary. They are then able to increase the number of English words and phrases they use. They are more able to understand the meaning of English words and phrases. In addition, students can improve their pronunciation in a professional British way. Finally, our students learn about UK culture through the themes of each lesson we have. Our lesson topics often focus on areas such as leisure, travel, university and ideas found in the UK. Our lessons are taken online with a tutor or by yourself through our self-study courses. Our online tutor lessons are 1 hour in length and are taken on Google Meet or Zoom. In these lessons, we take you through several words and phrases, explaining the meaning, helping you pronounce them and providing you with an example. At the end of the lesson, we test you on what you have learnt with a mini quiz. If you pass, you earn the week's certificate. These aspects of English are also taught within the online self-study course and again, there is a quiz to take at the end of the lesson. I also provide IELTS practice in English reading, writing, listening and speaking. We work through your IELTS exercise book, complete tasks and I mark your work, pointing out how you can further improve and gain even higher grades! My students find my teaching is a great way to prepare for IELTS and to improve standards of English for those whose first language is not English. I look forward to connecting with you. I have taught English Language and Literature for over 25 years in four different countries and have extensive experience with students for whom English is a second language. Through my work abroad I also prepared students for the academic and professional IELTS exams. As well as my degree and PGCE I am also TEFL trained.
