Hi, My name is Jaya Daswani! I grew up in Hong Kong, but study conservation biology in Australia, but am currently taking a year off in Hong Kong. I have worked as a supply educational assistant at Kowloon Junior School (an international school in Ho Man Tin), an english tutor at a tutorial centre in Tsuen Wan, as well as volunteered teaching english in a tutorial school for underprivileged children in Ho Man Tin. On top of that In the past I travelled to many countries in Asia volunteering in orphanages. All of these experiences have made me patient and understanding with children, yet thorough and efficient. I understand that early education is a stepping stone for a successful future and will always endeavor to have children reach these goals in a stress-free fun environment, that gets them excited to learn. I am a qualified secondary school English teacher and English as a Foreign Language tutor, with eight years’ experience of successfully tutoring students studying at a wide range of levels including KS2/3, GCSE, A Level and University level. I have a strong working knowledge of GCSE and A Level exam boards, alongside the marking criteria and assessment frameworks for IELTS and Cambridge English First exams.
