My name is Teresa Klein, and I have a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri. My PhD mentor, Dr. George Smith, is a Nobel Laureate. I have been tutoring both the SAT and ACT for over five years. I typically help students raise their SAT scores by 100–200 points and their ACT scores by 4–6 points through targeted skill-building and data-driven instruction. In addition, I tutor math and science, including prealgebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, biology, and chemistry. I have enjoyed tutoring and coaching students in middle school, high school, and college-level math and science courses. I have worked with students of all levels, from those struggling to catch up to those seeking an extra challenge. I charge $60 per hour. All classes are taught online via Google Meet. Hello. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During my undergraduate career, I tutored fellow students in a variety of maths. Upon graduating, I continued to tutor a bariety of math at a local community college until I was able to get my first full time job. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to continue tutoring, but I maintained a love for teaching and training and I always offered to teach and train fellow employees. I have recently obtained a new job which allows me more free time to get back into tutoring as I did enjoy the challenge of teaching such a universally difficult subject. I love math and I am looking into retaking the GRE exams so that I may attend graduate school. I think LearnPick would be a great place to start. I teach all math from elementary school math to pre calculus. I would love to tutor calculus again after some breif relearning. I reside in New York City and would love to either online tutor or tutor in person. I believe in person tutoring is more effective, but online tutoring provides the opportunity to students with busy afterschool schedules. My name is Yvonne and I look forward to the opportunity to teach your child! I am a certified teacher who taught in the public school system for twenty years. I possess New York State certification in common branches (nursery through grade 6) and in the visual arts (grade K through grade 12). I also have a master’s degree in education. Although the majority of my teaching experience is at the elementary level, I have also taught middle and high school level students. I worked in a variety of capacities throughout my lengthy teaching career including, but not limited to, an elementary grade level class entitled, “Literacy Through the Visual Arts,” using an original curriculum that I created as an instructional guide. I reinforced English Language Arts skills by integrating visual arts instruction. Another position I held was entitled Academic Intervention Specialist for grade K through grade 3. I had the great advantage of being exposed to various reading programs with the responsibility of selecting the ones I considered most effective and reporting my professional assessment to the school administration. I worked with small groups of students which allowed for the use of intensive instructional strategies for reading and math. Another rewarding position I held was that of a NYC Dept. of Education Mentor for my school district. I provided training to first year teachers which included writing observation evaluations with improvement strategies, planning and conducting professional development workshops, and being a much needed supportive friend. I currently work as a professional tutor with students of varied grades and skill levels.

I’m currently a reporter, working at TIME Magazine. I have been working in journalism for the past four years. As a reporter, I spend a lot of time working on grammar, sentence structure and vocabulary. I attended Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism and earned my masters in 2016. I also went to Penn State University and got my bachelors degree. While an undergraduate at Penn State, I was a volunteer tutor with the Academics Assistant Program, where I tutored fellow college students in a variety of topics and course work.
