My name is Miss Nora Cheung, and I am a native Hongkonger, bilingual in Mandarin/Cantonese, with near-native English proficiency. From 2001 until 2023, I was a senior tutor at AMG Ltd. in Language and Literature for students aged 8-18. At AMG, I taught UKISET, IDAT, ISEB 11+ and 13+, SSAT, (I)GCSE, HKDSE, IB, SAT, NAPLAN, IELTS, LSAT, and many other Australian and Canadian curricula. I successfully prepared students to enter top British private schools, including scholarships for Benenden, Eton, Harrow, Winchester, and Wycombe Abbey, as well as schools and universities in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia. Many of my former students are now successful young professionals in business, law, medicine, and many other fields. For those students preparing for IELTS, we cover all areas of the examination by looking at past papers and best practices. I also offer interview practice for Hong Kong international schools and schools in the UK and elsewhere. I have extensive experience in preparing students for online as well as face-to-face interviews; my focus is on building up learners’ self-confidence and interpersonal skills so they can present their best selves to any interviewer. Classes are conducted one-on-one in a comfortable office. There is also a great reception area for students to wait in before class if they need a place to do homework.
