I am an experienced English teacher and I have been teaching English since 2011. I am also experienced in teaching Electrical and Computer Science lessons such as Basic Principles of Personal Computers, Digital Circuits, Instructions to Computer Science. I am also an Adult Teaching Professional in Computer Sciences. I have obtained excellent communicational skills with children through my multiannual experience as an English teacher. Furthermore, I have established a mutual communication and cooperation with parents. I am a passionate and inspirational teacher always willing to help my students understand the new information given to them and l apply cooperative learning techniques based on student-centered education. In the course of my teaching engagement and in order to enrich my teaching skills, I have attended postgraduate courses in Special Education. As far as a further clarification of Special Education, that includes interaction with children facing Special Educational needs such as dyslexia, learning difficulties, loss of concentration, etc. In addition, this field includes children from different cultural and educational backgrounds.

I am an artist, a scientist, a writer, a traveller, a performer, but above all, I see myself as an assistant to the young of today and tomorrow. The future is daunting and adulthood is no walk in the park, but what got me through the trials and tribulations of education and the 'grown-up' world beyond was the care and insights shown to me by certain teachers, mentors and coaches throughout my academic and professional career. Wise words, life-hacks, learning techniques, revision materials, research methodologies - they are some of the tools they gave me, which I hope to impart. I have years of teaching experience in a range of creative subjects in South Africa, Cyprus and the UK. Maintaining a broadly scientific, creative and theoretical education to a postgraduate level has honed my skills in the art of communicating across multiple media for the purposes of disseminating information. In a world where education is paramount and where digital and social media are the future, it is my intention to harness the power of analogue and digital communication for the purposes of educating and empowering the generations to come. As hommage to the great educators in history which have shaped the great minds of today, it is my maxim to assist in the learning and provision of support to those students who wish to achieve their greatest potential and achieve the levels of success they are capable of achieving. All it takes to attain ones full potential is the right encouragement, appropriating the correct teaching methodologies, communicating with ones students in a way that we mutually feel heard and understood, and creating the platform for ones students to practice their craft or learning with guidance and support.

Chris finished his undergraduate degree in Drama and Theatre studies at The University of Chester in 2016. He later returned to complete a PGCE in Secondary Drama Education, where having met the required standards, he qualified as an Outstanding Teacher of Drama in 2018. He has previously worked in two UK schools teaching Drama and also has some leadership experience as the Assistant Head of Key Stage 4. He now joins Amnuay Silpa School as a teacher of Drama. Chris’ passion for working with young people began while volunteering as a director for a community youth theatre project in 2010. This initial experience of directing small stage productions has grown exponentially ever since. More recently, he has spent 3 months of the previous 5 years in America working as the Drama programme coordinator at a summer camp in Pennsylvania. These experiences have shaped Chris’ approach to teaching and his pedagogical methods. One particular focus of all Chris’ lessons is promoting pupil voice. He believes educators must ensure that they create the correct conditions needed to foster positive relationships and build productive learning environments in order to achieve this. In terms of being a drama teacher, this means that it is ultimately his responsibility each lesson, to inspire young people to exceed their own expectations by being passionate and knowledgeable, modelling a constant curiosity and love of learning. His goal as a teacher is to foster self-awareness in his classes and encourage student ownership of learning. Within his teaching practice, he takes a progressive approach towards the application of teaching and learning. Inquiry learning, problem based learning, activated learning, dialogue, debate and discussion are all approaches he utilises within his practice. Finally, Chris is an enthusiast for film and video production and the stage; having much experience as an actor, theatre technician and director.
