Hi, I’m an experienced and approachable tutor based in the Netherlands, offering support in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, English, and Geography. I have been studying at the British School in the Netherlands since Year 8 and am familiar with both the British curriculum and the IB. I achieved 8s and 9s in 11 GCSE subjects, including all three sciences, Maths, English Language and Literature, Geography, Dutch, Drama, Photography, and Bengali. In the IB, I was predicted a 43, with 7s in Higher Level Biology and Chemistry, and a 6 in Higher Level Maths. Over the past three years, I have worked with students at various levels. My approach centres on developing both subject understanding and strong exam technique. This combination has proven effective: I have personally gone from 4s and 5s in Year 10 to mostly 9s by the end of Year 11. More importantly, I’ve supported students in doing the same. One student I worked with improved from a grade 3 to a grade 7 in just five months. I am also currently tutoring a Year 10 student who is consistently achieving 8s and 9s in sciences, English, and Geography. I tailor each session to meet the student’s needs and learning goals. I am flexible with scheduling and always make an effort to provide extra support around exam time. Hi, I'm happy to introduce myself. I've had over 12 years experience working in language centres in Hong Kong. I have a passion for teaching young learners. I love making fun and relaxed lessons for Kindergarten students to get them comfortable with a native speaker in learning to read and hold conversations. I also have solid skills in grammar and creative writing for primary age. Teaching is my passion!

I am currently a student at HKBU, Journalism ( Year 2). Being a Journalism student, I am well equipped with great writing skills, communication skills as well. I can get along with all of my students quickly because it is important to have a sense of trust towards a stranger who will kind of be responsible for your education for a while right. I am a Hong Kong born Indian, and I can speak fluent Cantonese and English, which is another factor that allows all my students, local students especially to pick up what I am trying to teach really quick. Contrary to popular opinion, I do believe that incorporating your mother tongue to the language you are trying to improve will be very beneficial for you. I allow all my students to use Cantonese as well as English while we are learning, of course i set up strict rules on the quota as well. Creative writing, language speaking, phonics , pronunciation and much more. Anything about English I can handle, as i did get a 5* IN MY DSE 2019. I use a variety of methods such as games OR IPADS to kind of make the lesson more fun to students. I believe a lesson should be a long education activity, and a teacher should be a funny mentor. Apart from English, I teach some students accents as well, for example British or American accents, and I have noticed that most of my students have developed really nice accents which just rolls of their tongue really good.
