I am an American Tutor with over 8 years and over 5,000 hours over teaching experience. My greatest desire to help others achieve their goals and to accomplish things they did not know was possible. I have taught all ages of students from 3 months through to adulthood. I am passionate and full of life. I utilise experiential learning games, tradition worksheets and examination practices to to obtain the desired learning outcome. Students learn best in a safe and encouraging environment and that’s what I aim to establish in every class.

I have graduated MA program in English Translation in Iran. I have been teaching and tutoring English in a variety of different levels and areas, i.e vocabulary, grammar, oral expression, TOFEL, ...from beginner to advanced. I have been English- Persian translator as well.

I am an experienced and capable tutor of History, English, and Biology. I am based in Pietermaritzburg, but can travel a fair distance and am available online to anyone, anywhere, any time! I have a degree in History and Philosophy, as well as being a professional editor, so I am well-versed in writing solid, reasoned essays that display critical thinking and comprehension – which I can teach you to do, too! From spelling, grammar, and vocabulary to creative writing, reading comprehension, and detailed essays, I can assist you with English and History. I am passionate about biology, and have a deep and broad understanding of it. I can help you get to grips with the subject, and perhaps even love it! I spent 7 years in the English Department at Chinese International School, teaching from Year 7 to Year 13. I also worked in admissions, conducting English interviews. I'm currently an IB Lang Lit Paper 2 Examiner. In 2023, I moved to Singapore with my family and am currently working part-time at a top international school - UWCSEA. As a fellow first language English speaker, I have experience teaching students from ages 4 all the way up to age 18. I grew up and completed my education in Ohio. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Akron and am working towards my bachelor's degree in Theology at the University of Belgrade. After completing my bachelor's degree in Theology, I plan to enroll in a Master's program specializing in Depression and Anxiety. I have been tutoring young children, teens, and adults for the last 8 years, specializing in English (reading, comprehension, writing, and vocabulary) while also providing training in Psychology and History. As a teacher, I strive for understanding. The most important thing for a student is to understand what they are learning. While memorization is important, I find that taking the time to break down all the parts of a problem and learning slowly but efficiently helps the student retain more knowledge. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy watching movies, photography, and sports.
