I am a 1st year student at the University of Exeter. I did the IB achieving a 7 in standard level (equivalent to an AS level) mathematics, as well as 6s in both higher level chemistry and biology (equivalent to A levels). I have experience in tutoring younger students, and have helped them achieve top grades in their subjects. I can tutor mathematics up to GSCE level, as well as biology and chemistry at any level up to A-level. I like to focus on past papers to consolidate knowledge in order to allow students to learn how to best utilize mark schemes. In lessons, I will first help students with any content they are struggling to understand by using diagrams and powerpoints. I graduated from Victoria University, majoring in Economics (Honour’s). During Honour’s, first and foremost, learning the relevant economic research courses was the foundation of my study. I enrolled in Advanced Microeconomics, Public Economics and Behavioural Economics to enrich my theoretical knowledge, and enrolled in Advanced Econometrics and Official Statistics to learn advanced empirical knowledge about how to analyse data in an appropriate method in different situations. Honour’s has been successful in cultivating my interest in empirical aspects. In Official Statistics and Econometrics courses, the main content was learning some advanced data analysis approaches, and using some coding programme (Stata, MATLAB and R) to analyse some policies and issues, as well as giving some relevant suggestions.
