My name is Kamogelo Hopane, and I hold a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT). Mathematics played a major role in my academic journey, and I achieved a distinction in Mathematics in high school in 2021. In 2022, I was awarded the 2nd position in the Mogalakwena District, an achievement that contributed to my admission to UCT, which is ranked as the number one university in Africa. I am currently working as a Junior Engineer specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, based in and around Sandton. I offer online tutoring, preferably via Microsoft Teams, but I am also open to one-on-one sessions if you are able to travel to my office apartment. My tutoring approach is results-driven and exam-focused. I prioritize helping students pass and excel in exams rather than spending time on unnecessary theory. My lessons consist of approximately 20% theory and background understanding, and 80% question paper practice. I strongly encourage active participation; students are expected to engage, attempt questions, and solve problems, not just observe. As an engineer, I believe in practical learning. Solving problems hands-on is far more effective in building understanding and long-term memory than passive learning. My goal is to help students gain confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and achieve strong academic results.

Later, I moved to Thailand in 2023 where I continued my career as a mathematics teacher for year one to 6 in Sakon Nakhon for one year, and then moved to Udon Thani Province where I currently live and work as a teacher. I'm a Malaysian living in Bangkok. I love math to the core, and I have been teaching math to both my children and a few children in primary school. They started learning math in fun ways and scoring excellent marks (often full marks) in their school assessments. Math requires a lot of practice, so we will be working on math problems every day. We will learn to tackle math problems in easy ways that you'll remember forever and apply them to solve math problems in daily life, school, and exams.

I have been a full-time tutor since 2005 specialising in Primary school English, Math and Science especially PSLE subjects. I have been tutoring and teaching in various settings - tuition & Student care centres in classroom, private individual tutoring basis at home settings.  Teaching has always been my passion since young in order to help weaker students in their understanding & application so that they enjoy learning. I have recently graduated as a chemical engineer from HKUST. I scored 5 A*s in my A Levels and was offered a full scholarship from HKUST. I have been teaching students for the last 5 years, and students have noticed at least one grade improvement following tutoring from me. I love to teach Mathematics, but my background and university courses allow me to teach Chemistry, Physics, Accounting, and Economics up to A levels as well.
